Vancouver Hillel opened at the University of British Columbia in 1947; at Simon Fraser University in 2005; and at the University of Victoria in 2006. Thousands of Vancouver Hillel students have changed themselves, their campuses and the world through Hillel’s mission of nurturing generations of young people who are “Distinctively Jewish, universally human.”
Vancouver Hillel celebrates a dynamic Judaism, inclusivity, tolerance and acceptance, exemplified by an open, non-judgmental approach to Judaism.
Our facilities on British Columbia’s three largest campuses are incubators of social justice, peer leadership, inclusive Jewish spirituality and exploration, innovative Zionist advocacy, tzedakah (philanthropic acts) and tikkun olam (repair of the world).
We are a proud constituent agency of the Jewish Federation of Greater Vancouver and an integral part of campus life, community life and positive global change.
